Eastgate Shopping Centre

Inverness

The principal gateway to the Scottish Highlands, Inverness has the largest geographical shopping catchment area in Europe. Acquired in August 2015 by Scoop in partnership with Harbert Fund Management.

Constructed in two phases the 410,000 sq ft, Eastgate Centre now comprises some 80 shops and leisure units anchored by Boots, M&S, Next and H&M and supported by two car parks with an aggregate 1,350 spaces.  The scheme attracts an annual footfall of c. 8 million people.

Since purchase, Scoop has concluded new lettings to tenants including Rituals, Fat Face, The Fragrance Shop, The Entertainer, Hotel Chocolat and RBS, together with the introduction of NHS Scotland into the scheme.

Completed initiatives include the undertaking of remedial works to the car parks, the reconfiguration and reorientation of shop units to provide a new catering cluster fronting Falcon Square and a significant upgrade and reconfiguration to provide a new Food Court.
