Scoop acquires The Thistles Shopping Centre in Stirling, Scotland
Scoop has completed on the acquisition of The Thistles Shopping Centre in Stirling for £22.5 million, in its first joint venture with AXA fund management.
The Thistles entirely dominates Stirling city centre, providing over 500,000 sq ft of retail space over a single level, with several major anchor tenants including: M&S, Primark, Boots, Next, River Island and JD Sports. After identifying the opportunity, Scoop undertook all commercial due diligence and negotiated the acquisition.
Asset management initiatives will include the reconfiguration/redevelopment of the former Debenhams store as part of the repositioning of the Centre, the delivery of various key lettings and the relocation/upsizing of existing retailers in addition to the introduction of increased catering options.
