Scoop announces several new lettings for Scotland’s shopping centres

In recent months, Scoop has completed several new lettings and lease extensions across three of its popular Scottish shopping centres.

The Antonine Shopping Centre in Cumbernauld saw the arrival of leading men’s retailer, Blue Inc, which also took on a new lease at The Thistles Shopping Centre in Stirling. Acquired by Scoop in a joint venture with AXA in December 2020, The Thistles Shopping Centre has subsequently agreed new leases with nationally reputable retailers, The Fragrance Shop, Ann Summers and a not-for-profit local organisation, Coorie Creative.

Scoop has also secured notable lease extensions for three well-respected retailers: Waterstones, WhiteStuff and the Card Factory at the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness. Each lease extension further demonstrates the appeal of Eastgate Shopping Centre, the largest shopping centre in the Scottish Highlands offering over 60 stores and serving the largest shopping catchment area in Europe.

Following disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, including several lockdowns over the last 18 months, Scoop’s new lettings and lease extensions instil confidence in the recuperation of shopping centres and the revival of retail more generally.
